Students at Agora Andorra International School are offered the opportunity to spend one or two terns or an entire academic year at Stonar School, a prestigious private school in England. The school has been an educational establishment for over 120 years; class sizes are small and the school is set on a large and beautiful country estate. Boarding at Stonar will give your child an incredible international experience that they will remember forever.
Stonar’s boarding programme allows our students to join this prestigious school for one or two terms or for a full academic year. Stonar school has been educating children for more than 120 years, and the school is set on a beautiful private estate near the city of Bath, approximately 90 minutes’ drive from London. Pupils follow the British Curriculum, class sizes are small so that children get maximum attention from the teaching staff, and close contact is maintained with pupils’ local tutors to ensure continuity. A huge range of leisure and recreational activities are available for students during their free time.
Stonar has an excellent academic programme and extraordinary facilities, with the additional advantage of exposing students to complete linguistic immersion in English. Pupils come to Stonar from all over the world to live and study together, share experiences and forge friendships that they will treasure for the rest of their lives.
The boarding houses are designed to be a “home from home”, and provide an environment that promotes focused academic study, avoiding unnecessary distractions from outside the school. Rooms are cosy and comfortable and the houses are fully equipped with everything that pupils need to ensure that their stay is relaxed and happy, including communal areas with Wi-Fi, television, DVD player and video game consoles.
One of the best things about Stonar is the spectacular grounds and facilities. Boarders have free access to all on-site sports facilities including tennis courts, the equestrian centre, swimming pool, football pitches and other sporting and recreational activities. The school encourages students to “work hard and play hard”, achieving academic success but with time to relax and socialise with children of many different nationalities. Senior pupils act as role models and guides for younger pupils and the school promotes a really positive sense of community spirit – there’s always someone on hand to provide help and friendship.
