Multilingualism
We prepare our students for an international future without limits or barriers. Our curriculum is multilingual, focussing on achieving complete fluency in English and official languages, and also offering French. Lessons are equally delivered in our three core languages, Spanish, English and French, at every stage of the curriculum. Classes are taught by native and bilingual teachers and pupils also take classes in Catalan, Andorra’s official language.
Linguistic immersion
Language immersion at Preschool stage is key to the early learning of any language. Our English Language Linguistic Immersion programme starts in the first stage of Preschool at 0-2 years, and pupils continue to develop their linguistic and communication skills throughout the Early Years stage from 3 to 5 years old. At the end of this stage, children learn to read in English and a system of phonetics is used to help them to establish good English writing and spelling skills. As they progress through the school, students can obtain official University of Cambridge English qualifications, and can sit the Alliance Française examination in French, and the Spanish DELE of the Cervantes Institute.
To complement our school-based language programme, students can enjoy a range of overseas exchanges and cultural visits in England, Ireland, France and the USA. Students from all years are given the opportunity to participate in an exchange trip to any of these countries for a period of one month, one or two terms, or a full school year.
In addition, our students in Primary 6 have a one-week exchange with schools in the UK. They can also spend a term, a semester or a full academic year at Stonar School, a prestigious UK school which is part of Globeducate. Finally, Globeducate's extensive network of schools allows students to participate in international events each year with students from other countries and cultures.
