Our educational project
IB: an education for the future
The International Baccalaureate® (IB) offers a curriculum that is universally accepted by higher education institutions throughout the world. The programme delivers broad-based, academically demanding courses for students, who are guided along this journey by highly qualified, professional teachers working within an innovative educational framework. Agora Andorra International School is an authorised centre to teach the Diploma Programme (DP) of the International Baccalaureate® (IB). As an IB World School, it is a researching, reflective, active and creative centre in a constant process of improvement.
Multilingualism
We prepare students for an international future. We offer a multilingual educational project, with linguistic immersion beyond English, enabling students to master the official languages alongside English and French. Our pupils are deeply immersed in English from the earliest years, with 50% of the subjects and activities taught in English during the Infant and Primary stages, and the language project is adapted to each school stage, incorporating new foreign languages. Pupils can take exams at the school to obtain official qualifications.
STEAM: Science and Arts
Art and science through STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths) skills are key to children's all-round development: they bring enormous cognitive and personal benefits, as well as boosting their communication skills. As proof of our commitment to music education, Agora Andorra International School is an examination centre for Trinity Music Exams. Our pupils are introduced to the world of music in Infant Education (Infant 3) and continue throughout Primary Education with the study of a musical instrument: the violin.
Sports and health
Sport is fundamental in pupils' all-round education: it encourages their socialisation and transmits values to them in a natural way. At Agora Andorra International School we instil in our pupils a passion for sport and healthy lifestyle habits so that they become physically and emotionally balanced adults. We also offer various high-performance study-sport programmes adapted to the specific needs of each pupil, guaranteeing their all-round education and taking care of all the aspects involved in their personal and sporting development.
Shaping the World
Children entering education today will graduate as young adults in 2030. We must prepare them for jobs and technologies that do not exist today, to solve problems that have not yet been foreseen. As a school in the Globeducate group, we are committed to the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, which is why we have reached agreements with internationally renowned organisations such as Eco-Schools and WWF (World Wildlife Fund), driving projects to mobilise a community of over 100,000 people. We must encourage our students to take charge and shape their own future: we want them to be global citizens who can shape the world.
